With just four teams and three games remaining on the NFL schedule, it is easy to see just how important health is to playoff success.

The Packers and Buccaneers both struggled in part due to offensive line injuries and the Titans rushed back their franchise running back and fed him over 20 unproductive touches.

Buffalo Bills (Eliminated)

The Bills might have been the healthiest team heading into the weekend, with Mario Addison being the only player listed on the team’s injury report. Addison played 36 snaps and pressured Patrick Mahomes three times.

The biggest name missing for Buffalo was Tre’Davious White, who has been absent since suffering a season-ending injury in Week 12. His replacement, Dane Jackson, did allow four catches on five targets, but for only 28 yards.

Cincinnati Bengals

Everyone was worried about the Bengals defensive front with Larry Ogunjobi out for the season, but the Bengals had no problem stifling the Titans offense, holding Derrick Henry to just three yards per carry and no carry longer than nine yards.

Cam Sample (groin) and Josh Tupou (knee) will both be monitored this week as the Bengals prepare for the Chiefs. Sample didn’t play against Kansas City in Week 17, but Tupou was the team’s highest-graded run defender that week on Pro Football Focus.

Green Bay Packers (Eliminated)

The Packers were without David Bakhtiari on Saturday after he suffered a setback with his injured knee. The All-Pro missed all of 2021 after suffering a torn ACL in last year’s playoffs, but did play 20 snaps against the Lions in Week 18.

Instead of plugging Yosh Nijman in at left tackle as they had done for most of the season, the Packers flipped right tackle Billy Turner to the left side and promoted Dennis Kelly to starting right tackle.

It was a curious decision, considering Nick Bosa has lined up almost exclusively on the left side since Week 7 and he tortured Kelly, recording five pressures and two sacks.

Kansas City Chiefs

Tyrann Mathieu played only seven snaps before exiting due to a concussion. The safety is still in protocol, but according to Andy Reid, Mathieu is feeling better and should have a shot at recovering in time for this weekend.

Mathieu is one of the most versatile defenders in the NFL, lining up for over 200 snaps at free safety, slot corner, and in the box. Daniel Sorenson saw an increase in his snaps against the Bills, playing the most he has since September.

Reid didn’t have an update on Darrel Williams, who was inactive on Sunday. Clyde Edwards-Helaire did return against the Bills, rushing for 60 yards on seven carries and catching one pass for nine yards.

Los Angeles Rams

With Andrew Whitworth sidelined on Sunday, Matt Stafford was pressured on 15 of his 41 dropbacks against the Buccaneers. Replacement left tackle Joseph Noteboom allowed just one hurry, but suffered a pectoral injury late in the win.

Luckily for the Rams, it seems like Whitworth is on track to be healthy for this weekend. The 40-year-old allowed two pressures and one sack the last time the Rams played against the 49ers.

Taylor Rapp is also on track to play after missing the Divisional Round due to a concussion. If he is healthy, Rapp will take snaps from Eric Weddle and start next to Nick Scott on the back end of the Rams defense.

San Francisco 49ers

Trent Williams was bothered by an ankle injury on Saturday night, but he was able to play through the game and his x-rays on Monday came back negative.

Kyle Shanahan wouldn’t commit as to whether Williams will be ready for the NFC Championship on Sunday, but they were able to defeat the Rams back in Week 18 with Williams sidelined due to an elbow injury.

Colton McKivitz struggled while filling in for Williams in that game, allowing two sacks and four total pressures.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Eliminated)

Tristan Wirfs could possibly undergo ankle surgery that would keep him out of action until after OTAs. However, the right tackle is still looking at other options on his two torn ligaments.

Josh Wells replaced Wirfs against the Rams and struggled, allowing six pressures. Although he was better than left tackle Donovan Smith, who allowed 11 pressures and two sacks.

Ryan Jensen’s ankle injury does not require surgery, according to Bruce Arians. The pending free agent made his first Pro Bowl in 2021.

Tennessee Titans (Eliminated)

Derrick Henry made his much-anticipated return for the Titans on Sunday, but struggled to get anything going against a Bengals defense that put eight men in the box on 11 of his 20 carries.

Henry managed just 62 yards on his touches and didn’t rush for more than nine yards on any attempt. However, his -6 rushing yards over expected was still the third-best mark of the week among running backs behind Leonard Fournette and Aaron Jones.
