Here’s a team-by-team breakdown of where everyone stands heading into the fifth week of the regular season.

Arizona Cardinals Injury Analysis:

Tight end Trey McBride remains in concussion protocol after suffering a head injury against the Lions in Week 3 and sitting out Week 4. He was considered a limited participant in the Cardinals’ practice on Wednesday.

The Cardinals also designated Christian Jones to return from the IR, opening up his 21-day practice window.

Atlanta Falcons Injury Analysis:

The Falcons don’t expect linebacker Troy Anderson to be active on Thursday night against the Buccaneers due to a knee injury.

Baltimore Ravens Injury Analysis:

The Ravens designated cornerback Arthur Maulet to return from the IR this week. He’s been dealing with a knee injury.

Wide receiver Khalil Shakir suffered an ankle injury on Sunday night against the Ravens and didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Carolina Panthers Injury Analysis:

Shaq Thompson will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

Chicago Bears Injury Analysis:

After returning against the Rams, Keenan Allen is off the injury report heading into Week 5.

Cincinnati Bengals Injury Analysis:

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson was limited in Wednesday’s practice due to a neck injury.

While Zac Taylor told reporters Hendrickson wouldn’t need to practice this week in order to play against the Ravens, it’s a good sign he’s already back on the field after a scary-looking injury.

Cleveland Browns Injury Analysis:

Myles Garrett is still dealing with his foot injuries, but his availability for Week 5 remains steady. He did miss practice on Wednesday, however that seems more like a pain/load management situation than any indication he could be inactive.

Dallas Cowboys Injury Analysis:

The Cowboys’ defensive front was decimated with injuries in Week 4 with both Demarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons going down.

Lawrence has already been placed on the IR as he deals with a broken foot, and Parsons is doubtful to play this week after being seen in a walking boot on Wednesday.

Brandin Cooks is expected to miss time due to a knee infection.

Denver Broncos Injury Analysis:

After being taken off the field on a stretcher, Broncos running back Tyler Badie has full movement in his arms and legs but still might be moved to the IR as he recovers from his back injury.

Detroit Lions Injury Analysis:

The Lions are on their bye this week. Both Brian Branch and Frank Ragnow were inactive in Week 4 due to injuries they suffered in the prior game.

Green Bay Packers Injury Analysis:

Tight end Luke Musgrave sat out Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle injury.

Jaire Alexander was also on the sidelines on Wednesday, nursing a groin jury.

Houston Texans Injury Analysis:

Neither Dameon Pierce nor Joe Mixon were at Texans practice on Wednesday. Both running backs have been inactive the last two weeks with Cam Akers getting the start.

Indianapolis Colts Injury Analysis:

Anthony Richardson left the Colts win early due to a hip injury. The quarterback got knocked out of the game twice on the same drive and limped back to the locker room after his second exit.

After the game, Richardson told reporters his hip was still sore and he was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Joe Flacco relieved Richardson on Sunday and led the Colts to their first win of the season, completing 16 of his 26 passes for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Jonathan Taylor sat out Wednesday’s practice as he deals with an ankle injury he suffered on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars Injury Analysis:

Tank Bigsby had his best game as a pro in Week 4, rushing for 90 yards, but he was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice due to a shoulder injury.

Fellow running back Travis Etienne Jr. was also limited due to a shoulder injury of his own.

Kansas City Chiefs Injury Analysis:

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is expected to return to Chiefs practice this week and should be available for game action soon after starting the season on the NFI list.

Las Vegas Raiders Injury Analysis:

Edge rusher Maxx Crosby sat out Week 4 after suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 3, and he wasn’t present at Wednesday’s practice.

Meanwhile, as trade rumors swirl, Devante Adams isn’t expected to play this week as he nurses a hamstring injury he suffered in practice last week.

Los Angeles Chargers Injury Analysis:

Justin Herbert suited up in Week 4 and threw 27 passes despite entering the week with an ankle injury.

The Chargers have a bye in Week 5.

Los Angeles Rams Injury Analysis:

Cooper Kupp has already been ruled out for Week 5 by Sean McVay.

As for fellow receiver Puka Nacua, he isn’t expected to return until at least Week 8 according to Jay Glazer.

Miami Dolphins Injury Analysis:

Edge rusher Jaelan Phillips will miss the rest of the season after suffering a partially torn ACL. It’s a tough break for Phillips, who also missed the end of last season after suffering a torn Achilles.

Minnesota Vikings Injury Analysis:

The Vikings are expected to open T.J. Hockenson‘s 21-day practice window on Friday. The tight end started the year on the IR after tearing his ACL last season.

New England Patriots Injury Analysis:

Center David Andrews is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. The nine-year veteran has started 121 games at center for the Patriots.

New Orleans Saints Injury Analysis:

Taysom Hill is dealing with a rib injury after missing time due to a separate chest injury he suffered in Week 2.

On the defensive side of the ball, Tyrann Mathieu is dealing with calf, heel, and groin injuries.

New York Giants Injury Analysis:

Despite the long layoff coming off Thursday Night Football, Malik Nabers did not practice with the Giants on Wednesday as he remains in concussion protocol.

Running back Devin Singletary was also absent on Wednesday as he deals with a groin injury.

New York Jets Injury Analysis:

Aaron Rodgers was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury, but Robert Saleh told reporters he isn’t worried about the quarterback’s availability for Week 5.

Philadelphia Eagles Injury Analysis:

The Eagles enter their bye hoping A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson all get healthy during the week off.

Brown hasn’t played since Week 1 due to a hamstring injury while Smith and Johnson both suffered concussions in Week 3.

Julian Love suffered a thigh injury in Week 4 but returned to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday.

He seems to be on track to be active against his former team on Sunday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Injury Analysis:

The Buccaneers ruled out five players for their Thursday night game against Atlanta including starting right tackle Luke Goedeke, defensive tackle Calijah Kancey, and safety Antoine Winfield Jr.

Tennessee Titans Injury Analysis:

The Titans will enjoy their bye in Week 5. Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons told reporters he’s dealing with a torn UCL in his left elbow.

Washington Commanders Injury Analysis:

Austin Ekeler was limited in Wednesday’s practice as he works his way back from a concussion he suffered in Week 3.

Meanwhile, fellow running back Brian Robinson Jr. was inactive in practice due to a knee injury.
