Bust = down-week production for that player’s standards

Quarterback

Lamar Jackson: For as strong of a year Jackson has had overall, he has only produced two QB1 scoring weeks on the season so far while throwing more than one touchdown pass in just one game. Jackson is coming off a season-high 70.4% completion rate, but he ran into the stellar deep passing defense of the Chargers which limited him to a season-low 167 yards and 6.7 yards per pass attempt.

The Bengals have not been on the Chargers level, but they have also started the year strong defending passes downfield. Cincinnati has allowed a 32.4% completion rate on throws over 15 yards downfield (sixth) and is one of five remaining teams yet to allow a touchdown pass on those targets this season.

That said, the Bengals had a strong slate of lackluster passers to open the year, facing Jared Goff, the Andy Dalton/Justin Fields duo, Ben Roethlisberger, and Trevor Lawrence in four of their opening six games outside of allowing 22.0 points to Kirk Cousins and 19.8 points to Aaron Rodgers. Jackson has had just one game with fewer than 18.0 points despite riding those two spike weeks, showcasing why he is always a strong floor-based option with upside to do damage as a league-winner any week.
