  • The Cowboys have now led for 28.0% of their offensive snaps, 25th in the league.
  • 22.5% of the yardage gained by Cowboys since their Week 7 bye has come via rushing, 32nd in the league. This after 35.7% prior, sixth in the NFL.

  • New Orleans is first in the NFL in rate of runs allowed to gain 10 or more yards (8.1%) and 27th in the rate of runs on offense to gain 10 or more yards (9.2%).
  • Just 9.3% (24 points total) of the points scored by New Orleans have come in the first quarter, the lowest rate in the league.
  • 47.9% (123 points) of the New Orleans points have been scored in the fourth quarter, the highest rate in the league.
  • The Saints are 31st in the league in plays per game (3.0) to produce 20 or more yards.

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Dak Prescott: Prescott used a hot fourth quarter on Thanksgiving to notch his seventh QB1 scoring week of the season, completing 32-of-47 passes for 375 yards and a pair of scores against the Raiders. With Dallas struggling to run the ball and trailing so frequently since their bye week, Prescott has now dropped back to pass 40-plus times in three of the past four games after doing so in just two of his opening six starts of the season.

Chasing points may not be in order here with the way the Saints are playing offense since losing Jameis Winston, but Dallas should have to work to run the ball well here. Prescott also gets both CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper back on the field, hopefully making this the second full game that Dallas has had their trio of wide receivers on the field this season.

The Saints are allowing a modest 14.5 passing points per game (13th), but they do have some favorable peripheral stats, ranking 28th in yards allowed per pass attempt (7.8 Y/A) and 24th in passing yards allowed per game (266.5 yards) to keep Prescott as a locked and loaded QB1 option.
