Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

I will go through the players I am targeting as core plays for all formats and will cover tournament plays and games to target for stacks in other posts.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Week 8 DFS Content:

Our core players are the players that we will have the most exposure to in their positions.

They can be played in cash games and tournaments and are the players we are primarily building our lineups with.

I will have some analysis on the player selections and game writeups, but check out the Week 8 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts ($8,400 DraftKings/$9,200 FanDuel)

Hurts has been a top-five scorer now in five of his past six games.

Hurts did sustain a knee injury that is not expected to prevent him from missing time, but after he rushed for a season-low 21 yards, we will keep an eye on his mobility.

You do not have to be mobile to convert the “Brotherly Shove” and although we would Hurts to have no restrictions on his rushing output, all he needs is his arm against this Washington defense.

Washington has allowed a top-10 scorer in six straight games, which includes Desmond Ridder and Tyrod Taylor the past two weeks.

It also includes Hurts himself back in Week 4 when he threw for a season-high 319 yards.
