Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is my player pool that weekend for DFS.
This article series covers exactly that.
I will go through the players I am targeting as core plays for all formats and will cover tournament plays and games to target for stacks in other posts.
The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.
Week 4 DFS Content:
Our core players are the players that we will have the most exposure to in their positions. They can be played in cash games and tournaments and are the players we are primarily building our lineups with.
Our core plays carried us again in Week 3 for another winning week.
Let’s start October with a strong week.
I will have some analysis on the player selections and game writeups, but check out the Week 4 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.
Quarterback
Josh Allen ($8,200 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel)
No issues for anyone playing the other side of this game with Tua Tagovailoa at a cheaper cost, but if this game is going to get there on the Buffalo side, it is more than likely going to be through Allen.
In Allen’s 11 career starts against Miami, he has thrown 30 passing touchdowns in those games with multiple passing touchdowns in all 11 games, averaging 276.0 passing yards. He also has averaged 57.4 rushing yards with four rushing touchdowns in those contests.
10 of those starts have come in the regular season. Allen has been a QB1 scorer in eight of those games, averaging 26.7 fantasy points per game.
That includes both starts a year ago when Allen was the QB3 (26.7 points) and QB1 (35.9 points).
Allen faced Vic Fangio’s defenses in 2019 and 2020 while he was with the Broncos, and Allen was the QB9 (19.0 points) and QB2 (37.7 points) in those meetings., the latter of which saw Allen throw for 359 yards with four total touchdowns.
