Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is my player pool that weekend for DFS.
This article series covers exactly that.
I will go through the players I am targeting as the tournament plays for all formats and will cover core players and games to target for stacks in other posts.
The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.
Week 7 DFS Content:
It is not that all tournament players cannot be used in cash games. If a player here works out for your team structure in cash games surrounding your primary core, use them.
These are just the players that come with some element of inherent risk but are the primary players that I still want to be ahead of the field on compared to the percentage of rosters they are projected to make this weekend.
I will have some analysis on the player selections and game writeups, but check out the Week 7 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.
Quarterback
Jordan Love ($5,800/$7,800)
Desmond Ridder worked out for us last week, and the Milly Maker winner even ran a Ridder double-stack.
This play is along those lines, but neither site is letting you roster Love for nothing.
FanDuel was not playing around with Love’s salary, so he is more attractive on DraftKings.
Love’s biggest issue is handling pressure at any level. When he has been pressured, he has completed 13-of-38 passes (34.2%) for 3.8 yards per pass attempt and an anemic 22.3 rating.
When he has been kept clean, Love is still below the base rate for the league, but he has completed 62.1% of his passes for 7.6 Y/A and a 94.1 rating.
Denver is 30th in the NFL in terms of pressure rate (28.6%) and when they do not pressure the opposing passer it has been a major issue.
The Broncos are allowing a league-high 9.3 yards per pass attempt when they fail to generate pressure, also allowing a league-high 13 passing touchdowns and a league-high 82.4% completion rate without pressure.
Every quarterback outside of Zach Wilson has scored at least 15.0 fantasy points against Denver.
