Trust = spike production for that player
Quarterback
Marcus Mariota: It was a struggle for Mariota on Sunday as he completed 12-of-23 passes (52.2%) for 129 yards (5.6 yards per pass attempt). Without a passing touchdown and a lack of rushing production (24 yards) Mariota’s floor was exposed since he is forced to live off efficiency and rushing points every week.
These teams just played two weeks ago when Mariota was the QB7 (22.4 points). Mariota averaged 9.0 Y/A, threw three touchdowns, and added 43 yards rushing, hitting the trifecta of inflection points he needs to access his scoring ceiling.
In that game, Carolina actually pressured Mariota on 54.8% of his dropbacks, but Mariota went 11-of-14 for 114 yards (8.1 Y/A) when under heat.
The Panthers have been flooded the past two weeks, allowing a touchdown on 37.5% of drives (29th) and a scoring drive on 50% of possessions (28th), giving Mariota streaming appeal if you had Lamar Jackson or Joe Burrow in 1QB formats to go along with being a strong option in 2QB formats.
