- The two highest offensive EPA games for the Bengals this season have come over the past two weeks.
- The Jets are the only team in the league averaging more yards per rushing play (4.9) than passing play (4.3).
- The Jets have the NFL's worst turnover margin (-9) and sack differential (-21).
- The Jets are last in the league in points off turnover margin (-38).
- The Bengals are 31st (-29) but have allowed 0 these past two weeks with Joe Flacco.
- 14.2% of the Jets' offensive plays have gained 10 or more yards the past three weeks, the lowest rate in the league.
- 74.4% of Cincinnati's yardage has been gained via passing, the highest rate in the league.
- 52.9% of the Jets' yardage has been gained via passing, the lowest rate in the league.
- The Bengals have allowed a touchdown on 33.3% of opponent drives, 31st in the league.
- The Jets have scored a touchdown on 14.7% of their drives, 29th in the league.

Quarterback
Joe Flacco: Flacco has finished as QB13 (18.8 points) and QB6 (26 points) since joining the Bengals.
Finding new life throwing to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Flacco played a great game on Thursday night against the Steelers.
At first blush, I assumed he would be an improvement over Jake Browning, but that improvement would only be marginal.
I am ready to walk back on that and adjust to what we have seen.
This is not just evident from the box scores, but also from how Flacco has improved the functionality of this offense.
Flacco has made this offensive line look better as well.
He has been pressured on 27.3% and 34.7% of his dropbacks.
Those rates have been the eighth best and 13th best in those weeks facing the Packers and Steelers.
Flacco has gotten the ball out of his hands.
His time to throw last week was 2.27 seconds after the snap, the second fastest in the league.
In Week 6, that rate was 2.45 seconds from the snap, the fastest in the league that week.
Flacco has also been accurate in getting the ball out fast.
His 7.6% inaccurate throw rate these past two weeks ranks seventh best.
He is not making mistakes and keeping the offense on schedule.
Only 8.6% of his dropbacks have resulted in a loss of -1.0 EPA or worse, the best rate in the league over the past two weeks.
The Bengals have shown no restrictions in letting Flacco rip.
He has 45 and 47 attempts.
In Week 6, the Bengals threw the ball 3% more than expected.
Last week, they were 11% over expectations.
We will undoubtedly encounter spots where Flacco turns the ball over, as that is his tendency.
Still, the Bengals have a favorable short-term schedule with the Jets and Bears at home over the next two weeks, followed by a Week 10 bye.
For this week, Flacco is a viable streamer and floor-based QB2 option.
He is attached to a home favorite with a solid team total.
He faces a New York defense that is 31st in pressure rate (27.6%) despite blitzing at the seventh-highest rate in the league (31.6%).
The Jets are 23rd in passing points allowed per game (15.7) and 29th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.543).
On top of that, Sauce Gardner is opening the week in concussion protocol.
Tyrod Taylor: Even though Aaron Glenn was dismissive of benching Justin Fields after Week 6, he changed his tune after the half in Week 7.
Fields connected on only 6 of 12 passes for 46 yards (3.8 Y/A) through two quarters at home against Carolina, and Glenn made the move and put Tyrod Taylor in for the second half.
Things did not go much better.
Taylor was 10 of 22 (45.5%) for 126 yards (5.7 Y/A) with 2 interceptions.
His 25.9 rating in the second half on Sunday was the worst in the league in Week 7.
This offense is between a rock and a hard place.
We are entering the week under the assumption that Garrett Wilson will still miss another week, limiting the talent either Fields or Taylor will have at their disposal.
Taylor was QB10 (16.7 points) in his lone start in Week 3, but that was a low-scoring week and a total that is typically QB2 output.
He also did his best Fields impression that week, scoring 14.7 of his fantasy points in the fourth quarter.
Taylor is a floor-based QB2, should he draw the start.
If you are turning to him due to the heavy bye week, the matchup is at least favorable, and we know he can add rushing production as an added out.
In that Week 3 outing, Taylor ran for 48 yards.
The Bengals are 30th in pressure rate (28.1%), but the Jets just took 6 sacks against the worst pass rush in the NFL last week.
Pressure rate vs the Jets (and their rate vs everyone else) per @TruMediaSports …
Panthers 34.1% (24%)
Broncos 58.6% (42.4%)
Cowboys 47.2% (37.6%)
Dolphins 55.6% (29.5%)
Buccaneers 50% (39.5%)
Bills 58.1% (40.5%)
Steelers 36% (38%)— Rich Hribar (@LordReebs) October 20, 2025
If the quarterback can stay clean, the Bengals allow a 68.2% completion rate (24th), 7/9 yards per attempt (28th), and a 6.8% touchdown rate (30th) to this point of the season.
They have allowed the third-most passing points per game this season (17.5).
