Motivation or Rest Alert
The Packers are in the postseason with a win and out with a loss.
Detroit has to win paired with a Seahawks loss earlier on Sunday.
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers completed 15-of-24 passes for 159 yards (6.6 Y/A) with a touchdown Sunday against the Vikings. While it was another brick for Rodgers failing to cash in a strong matchup, the Packers did lose two possessions via special teams and defensive scores while Rodgers was pulled for the fourth quarter.
We are in another spot this week in which Rodgers has another strong matchup, but no resumè this season in taking advantage of these spots. Rodgers has just one week this season finishing higher than QB12 while he has thrown for more than 255 yards just once all season. That one game did come against the Lions, though, when he threw for 291 yards.
What capped Rodgers that week was his performance in the red zone. In that game, Rodgers went 2-of-10 passing with two interceptions in the red zone.
As a whole, Detroit has not stopped the pass. Since their Week 6 bye, the Lions have allowed 7.9 Y/A (31st) with a 4.7% touchdown rate (25th).
