Motivation or Rest Alert

The Packers have clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC, leaving all of their star fantasy assets to dress or play extensively on Sunday. Matt LaFleur has said that the Packers are “going to approach it like any other game” but it is hard to take stock in a game that means nothing to this team. Even if the Packers’ starters dress and play to start the game, logically we should see Jordan Love and Patrick Taylor play significant snaps.

The Lions have been eliminated from the postseason.

Quarterback

Lions QB: We will have to follow the availability of Jared Goff in the season finale as he missed Week 16 due to a knee injury. If unavailable to play, Tim Boyle will draw his fourth start of the season against his former team to close things out for Detroit. Boyle was functional in Week 17, throwing for a season-high 7.1 yards per pass attempt with a pair of touchdowns to go with a lackluster 59.5% completion rate and three interceptions (15.9 fantasy points). Either Detroit passer will only be an option for 2QB formats but facing a Green Bay team with nothing to play for opens the door for a less challenging outlook.
