Quarterback

Justin Herbert: The touchdown regression came for quick for Herbert. After having high yardage with scoring issues through two weeks, Herbert tossed four touchdowns Sunday and was the QB2 (30.8 points). Herbert is now fourth in the NFL in passing yards (956) through three weeks.

Herbert and the Chargers get a plucky Raiders defense that early in the season has pressured the quarterback on 29.4% of the dropbacks (ninth) despite blitzing just 10.3% of the time (31st). The Raiders have allowed just 0.32 passing points per attempt on the season (eighth) against Lamar Jackson, Ben Roethlisberger, and Jacoby Brissett. Herbert is a clear tier(s) above those passers at this stage. In two games against the Raiders as a rookie, Herbert was the QB10 (23.4 points) and QB6 (28 points). This will be the first true test for the Raiders pass defense, keeping Herbert as a QB1.
