Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Sam Darnold: Darnold had his worst outing of the season on Sunday.

He threw for a season-low 6.3 yards per pass attempt, failing to throw a touchdown for the first time since Week 1.

He also threw 4 interceptions.

Darnold has now thrown at least 1 interception in four straight games.

The Rams had a good game plan in the mirror match of offensive philosophies.

Los Angeles took away the play-action game Darnold and this offense has leaned on.

Darnold was 9 of 10 for 74 yards using play action.

His 1 incompletion using play action was an interception.

Without play action, Darnold was 20 of 34 (58.8%) for 205 yards (6.0 Y/A) with 3 interceptions.

This has been a talking point for analysts like Greg Olsen this season, saying teams should not counter Seattle’s heavy offensive personnel with base defense.

The Rams did just that.

They played six defensive backs on 29% of Darnold’s early-down snaps, the highest rate of any team this season.

His previous high was 9.5%.

When Seattle used 12 personnel on early downs, the Rams did not try to match with base defense.

They used nickel on 58.8% of those early downs, the highest rate Seattle has seen.

For the season, Seattle has only seen nickel defense on 25.6% of their snaps out of 12 personnel.

Darnold is in a strong spot to bounce back here.

His best fantasy weeks have been predictable to this point, with QB1 scoring weeks coming against the Saints, Commanders, Jaguars, and the depleted Bucs.

Tennessee is 22nd in passing points allowed per attempt (0.472) and 21st in rating allowed versus play action passing (108.7).

I would have no issues going back to Darnold as a matchup-based QB2 with upside here.

The only thing in question here that could cap the upside is if Seattle rolls here.

They are already last in pass rate and are massive favorites.

If Darnold is going to hit for fantasy, it will need to be early, like in the Washington game.

Cam Ward: I am not even going to go in-depth here.

This is not a spot to chase Ward as more than a back-end QB2 on 2QB rosters that need to fill that spot.

The Titans have the lowest implied team total for anyone in a game this season.

Ward’s season-high is 13.1 fantasy points, and he is going against a pass defense allowing 6.3 yards per attempt (3rd) and 9.9 yards per completion (2nd).
