Titans vs. Bengals Fantasy Quarterback Preview

Joe Burrow

Burrow started slowly on Sunday.

In the first half, the Bengals had zero points, with Burrow going 6 of 12 for 43 yards (3.6 Y/A) (2.9 fantasy points).

He then turned it on in the second half, going 16 of 18 for 249 yards (13.8 Y/A) with 4 touchdowns (25.9 points) to finish with a QB1 overall scoring week.

Burrow has four straight games inside the top-10, reeling off 20-plus points in each.

This is another spot for Burrow to stay efficient as a QB1.

The Titans have allowed a 69.2% completion rate (31st) and 7.7 yards per pass attempt (26th).

But they have saved face by only allowing a 2.7% touchdown rate (3rd).

If they keep allowing that much efficiency, passing touchdowns will start coming, and Burrow is a good bet to kick that door down.

He has completed 73.3% of his passes (6th) with a league-high 13.3% touchdown rate.

The Titans are a run funnel because they are so bad.

Teams have thrown the ball at a 55.8% rate against them, compared with a 58% expected rate.

But that is not the Bengals game.

Cincinnati leads the league in pass rate over expectation and has thrown the ball over expectation in every game this season.

They have a 65.7% dropback rate on a 57.3% expected rate.

Cam Ward

Ward has thrown for more than 200 yards in one game this season.

He has not thrown multiple touchdown passes in a game this year.

Ward is 30th in passing points per dropback (0.23), 32nd in yards per pass attempt (5.7), and 32nd in touchdown rate (1.9%).

If you have to lean on Ward in 2QB formats due to byes or injuries, the Bengals have allowed viable QB2 games to Malik Willis (18.9 points) and Tyler Huntley (15.1 points) in the past two games.

The Bengals rank 30th in rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks (25.8 per game), which is the angle to play up for Ward to tack on some cheap points.
