Quarterback

Taylor Heinicke: Hair on Fire Heinicke was back in full action last week. After single-digit points the previous two weeks, Heinicke came back for 20.2 fantasy points last week while adding 95 rushing yards to his totals. He even had a ton of points left on the field with a rushing touchdown called back, then a fumbled sneak, and a dropped touchdown pass from Terry McLaurin. It was a jailbreak performance after completely flatlining against the Chiefs the week prior. Heinicke is just always going to be a weekly wild card with the way he plays and how bad Washington has been so far.

Denver is fourth in passing points allowed per game (12.9) and they have allowed just one QB1 scorer on the season, but they also have faced a light slate of opponents to date, The only quarterbacks in the top half of scoring they have faced are Lamar Jackson (19.4 points) and Derek Carr (21.5 points). Heinicke slides into the gaggle of subpar passers Denver has faced, leaving him as a boom-or-bust QB2.
