On the latest edition of the Sharp Angles Podcast, Raymond Summerlin was joined by Michael Fabiano of Sports Illustrated to discuss Jared Goff‘s new extension and some overpriced fantasy football players in early drafts.

Like many, Michael did not think Goff would ever reach this point with the Lions.

I apologize to Jared Goff left and right.

I never thought this was gonna happen. I thought the Lions at this point would already be sort of grooming their quarterback of the future

Now you got a guy who got you to the NFC Championship Game, and if the Lions didn’t choke, I mean maybe we’re talking about a different sort of scenario.

So you know good on Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions, who are now one of the teams that I think a lot of people like to root for because they were the the losers for so many years. You know one of the few teams that went through a season and didn’t win a single game.

I can go back to like the Eric Hipple days. Remember Joey Harrington? And they brought over Scott Mitchell. He had that one big year with Detroit when they had like Herman Moore, but they just haven’t been able to get it right.

Now they got it right, and they got better this offseason.

The guys also discussed the NFL Schedule Release, Puka Nacua, and much more.
