Week 13 Prediction: Alvin Kamara Receptions More Than 4.5
Both of these teams (Rams and Saints) are extremely desperate in what is a must-win game.
We’re in Week 13, and neither has a winning record.
When that’s the situation, you tend to get the ball into the hands of your best players. And with the injuries to the Saints receiving corps, Alvin Kamara can be that guy through the air just as easily as he can be on the ground.
Kamara had hit 5+ receptions in 7 straight games before hauling in only 4 last week in a 35-14 blowout win.
It’s unlikely the Saints will crush the Rams, as the Saints are a 2.5-point home underdog and the Rams are not a dysfunctional Browns bunch.
Per Rich Hribar, Kamara has been targeted on 31% of his routes, which is fifth most in the NFL and tops among running backs.
With Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed off the field, Kamara has 22% of the team targets.
While I’m big on Taysom Hill as a receiver this week, he’s not stealing any of the RB targets from Kamara.
I look for him to get back to that 5+ reception total streak he was on for 7 straight weeks before just 4 last week.
