- 80% (16 of 20) of the scoring plays allowed by Green Bay have been touchdowns, the 2nd-highest rate.

Packers vs. Lions Fantasy Quarterback Preview
Jared Goff
Goff comes out of the bye completing 67% of his passes (7th) for 7.8 yards per pass attempt (10th), 11.6 yards per completion (11th), and a 6.3% touchdown rate (4th).
He is fourth among quarterbacks in passing points per dropback (0.52).
Paired with a poor defense, Goff averages 41.4 dropbacks per game (7th), putting those rate stats to good use.
It would be great to see Detroit start a little faster than they have, but Goff has averaged 23.0 fantasy points per game, the second-most in the league.
We are getting Goff at home out of a bye and attached to another high team total.
These are the spots where he's been at his best, so keep using him as a QB1.
At home with Detroit, he averages 20.2 fantasy points per game.
Off a bye the past three years, he has posted 21.5 points per game.
I am intrigued by the matchup since there could be some potential downside.
Last week, I was hesitant about the caliber of the Green Bay defense because their early-season schedule has been littered with backup quarterbacks.
But after Sunday night, they have my attention.
They legitimately gave Dak Prescott fits all night, holding him to 4.8 yards per pass attempt and 2 interceptions.
The Packers now allow 5.9 yards per pass attempt (3rd) and 9.2 yards per completion (2nd).
They have not allowed multiple passing touchdowns since Week 1.
When head coaches fail, it is easy to forget why they got a shot in the first place.
Jonathan Gannon got his shot by coaching the defense, and he's been pressing the right buttons to open the year.
The Packers have disguised their coverage pre-snap to post-snap at the league's highest rate (41.6%).
Gannon has also had success against Goff.
In three career games against Gannon's defenses, Goff has scored 8.9, 15.5, and 14.6 fantasy points.
He has completed 68.1% of his passes in those games for 6.8 Y/A, 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
Goff's best game of the three was his latest in 2024, completing 18 of 23 passes (78.3%) for 199 yards (8.7 Y/A), 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception.
While the Green Bay defense's success and that history against Gannon add a wrinkle that could lower the floor, this game still has plenty of shootout appeal and upside.
Jordan Love (TRUST)
Love was the QB7 (20.2 points) on Sunday night, but his box score and final line don't do him justice, as Green Bay wideouts put three potential touchdowns on the ground.
Love finished the night completing 23 of 41 passes (56.1%), but Green Bay dropped 5 passes overall.
He made up ground by getting a rushing touchdown, scoring 20-plus points for the second week in a row.
He is in a good spot to make three weeks in a row.
The Packers have thrown the ball 4.6% more than expected, fourth in the league.
They have thrown the ball over expectations in every game but one.
The return of Josh Jacobs could sway Matt LaFleur back to more rushing.
I expect the Packers to run more with Jacobs than they have with the guys they have had, but as a road underdog in Detroit, they'll need to score and play aggressively.
Last year in Detroit, the Packers threw 5.3% more than expected.
And the Detroit defense has been a target for us early in 2026.
The Packers did get a bit away from their rising under-center rates with heavy personnel going into Sunday night, which lowered their play-action usage.
Love used play action 14.6% of the time against Dallas after rates of 30% versus Tampa Bay and 45.2% versus Chicago.
They still passed 18.2% of the time out of 12 personnel, but those rates were 26.7% in Week 4 and 30.3% in Week 5.
This would be a great place to get back to that.
For one, Love has averaged 9.6 yards per pass attempt with multiple tight ends on the field (2nd in the league).
On play action, he averages 9.6 Y/A (4th) with 5 touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Second, the matchup.
Detroit has been beaten up by play action, allowing a 72.4% completion rate (42 of 58) for 8.7 Y/A, 3 touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
On pass plays with multiple tight ends, they have allowed a 75% completion rate (29th) for 8.2 Y/A (26th), and 8 touchdowns to 1 interception.
Regardless of splits, Detroit is allowing a league-high 23.2 passing points per game.
They have allowed a top-eight scorer in every week this season.
Love had 25.8 points against this defense in Detroit last season, throwing 4 touchdowns.
