Every week, I'll review the players I am targeting for DFS across all games, tournaments, and game stacks.
The idea is to paint a clearer picture of how to build lineups.
One of my favorite ways to play DFS from a tournament stance is small-field, single-to-five-max entry games with 5K or smaller fields.
Both sites also offer these types of games with fewer than 100 entries (albeit at a higher entry cost) if you want to go after a really small field.
In these contests, I go with full-game stacks.
You will likely lose a lot of weeks, but if you get the game right, you will gain a significant advantage.
Just cashing in on one of these over an 18-week season can make your entire year.
When doing this, I want to aggressively build around games with a wider range of outcomes.
Still, with the reduced number of entries, you can also eat some chalky game stacks because we are going further in the overall game stack than our opponents likely will.
This is the spot where you will find some missing names from the core and tournament play sections.
These are the games I am circling for those tournaments in Week 8, but you can also tie these games into your stacks for other tournaments.
You can dig deeper into why I believe these games present some downside in the Week 8 Worksheet, but we're playing solely for the upside here.
Rich's Week 8 DFS Game Stacks
Ravens at Bills
This is a star-loaded game with a 54.5-point total.
The Bills lead the NFL in points per drive on offense (3.13).
Buffalo allows the most points per drive on defense (2.76).
With Lamar Jackson returning, this game has massive upside.
These teams played a 41-40 shootout last season.
Jackson is a bit discounted because he has missed time, and he's the easier side of this game to stack.
Zay Flowers isn't cheap, but he still looks underpriced based on the ceiling he's shown playing with Jackson this year.
Ja'Kobi Lane and Mark Andrews are cheap additions to Jackson or as salary relief if you are playing through the Buffalo side.
Josh Allen is always expensive, and Dalton Kincaid takes up added salary at the other onesie position, which can always create a clunkier build since you are then limited in salary at running back and wide receiver.
D.J. Moore is also discounted here because of the time he has missed.
Both James Cook and Derrick Henry offer multi-touchdown outcomes here (albeit with limited pass-catching), with a lean to Cook as the home favorite and the efficiency he has shown this season.
