Every week, I'll review the players I am targeting for DFS across all games, tournaments, and game stacks.

The idea is to paint a clearer picture of how to build lineups.

Calling these players tournament plays does not mean you need to avoid them in cash games.

If a player here fits your team structure in cash games around your primary core, use them.

These players carry some inherent risk, but I still want to be ahead of the field on them, based on the percentage of rosters projected to carry them this weekend.

I will have some analysis on the player selections and game write-ups, but check out the Week 9 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.

Rich's Week 9 Quarterback Tournament Plays

  1. Dak Prescott ($8,000 FanDuel/$6,500 DraftKings)
  2. Malik Willis ($6,500 FanDuel/$5,100 DraftKings)
  3. Drew Lock ($6,300 FanDuel/$4,000 DraftKings)
  4. Joe Milton ($4,000 DraftKings)

Dak Prescott

The Cowboys are still a top-10 team in scoring this season, but their passing game has been inconsistent.

Prescott is averaging 6.8 yards per pass attempt, matching a career-low season average.

He has thrown for 1 or fewer touchdowns in five of his past six games.

Dak is the QB5 in expected points per game, leaving fantasy meat on the bone.

While Prescott has been a little disappointing, he has another great outlook this week to get on track.

Indianapolis is allowing 15.6 passing points per game (24th), 7.9 yards per pass attempt (27th), 12.8 yards per completion (30th), and a 6.1% touchdown rate (27th).

Defensively, they are 27th in pressure rate (30.9%).

When they haven't gotten to the quarterback, they have allowed 11 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Prescott has a 6% touchdown rate from a clean pocket (9th) and has thrown 13 touchdown passes when kept clean (tied for 5th).

Malik Willis

Willis has thrown multiple touchdowns in each of the past two weeks while completing 66.7% and 65.6% of his passes in those two games, his two-highest rates of the season.

He can make that three in a row here against a Detroit defense allowing a league-high 21.3 passing points per game.

The Lions have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in eight consecutive games, the longest active streak in the league.

Every quarterback to face Detroit has finished QB13 or higher, which includes Jacoby Brissett (25.3 points), Kyler Murray (19.9 points), and Geno Smith (26 points).

The Lions are also 27th in rushing points allowed to quarterbacks (3.7 per game), coming off allowing 35 yards rushing to Murray.

Drew Lock

Lock will start Sunday with Sam Darnold ruled out with a quad injury.

A minimum-price quarterback at home against the Cardinals is something we will always explore.

Lock started against Arizona back in Week 2, completing 19 of 26 passes (73.1%) for 235 yards (9/0 Y/A) with 3 touchdowns.

Arizona has allowed a QB1 scorer in seven straight games.

Arizona is 26th in pressure rate (26th).

The Cardinals have struggled to defend play-action passing this season, allowing a 71.6% completion rate (28th), 8.9 Y/A (28th), and a 6% touchdown rate (23rd).

Joe Milton

I am not bullish on Milton, the state of the Philadelphia offense, or the matchup here, but Milton is the archetype of quarterback to “F around and find out” at minimum pricing.

Milton only has 58 career dropbacks, but he averages 0.51 fantasy points per dropback.

That is right between Jared Goff (0.52) and Jordan Love (0.49) since he entered the league.

Milton has an absolute hand cannon and offers some rushing appeal.

He has rushed 15 times for 66 yards and a touchdown in his appearances.

Milton has scrambled on 8.6% of his dropbacks.
