2024 NFL Draft Offensive Big Board: Player Analysis
1. Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State
Where he’ll make an impact in the NFL
Harrison wins by creating separation with precise routes, much like his father. Due to his size and ability to track the ball in the air, he's a dangerous downfield weapon. Receivers with his route-running ability have high floors, so expect a smooth transition to the league.
What are his weaknesses? What concerns do teams have?
His hands aren't as reliable as his highlight-reel catches would lead you to believe 一 he’ll need to clean up those focus drops on the shorter, easier targets.
Good team fits: Cardinals, Chargers, Giants, Bears
2. Caleb Williams, QB, USC
Where he’ll make an impact in the NFL
You can't teach Williams' raw playmaking ability 一 it gives him a Mahomes-like ceiling. When the play breaks down, he's able to buy time with his legs while keeping his eyes downfield.
What are his weaknesses? What concerns do teams have?
Can he tone down the hero ball and play on schedule? Given USC's inept defense, Williams needed to stay aggressive at all times, but can't maintain that pace in the NFL. Mahomes had to learn the same thing as he transitioned to the league, so it can be done, but it's not always easy to flip that switch.
Good team fits: Bears, Commanders, Patriots
3. Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
Where he’ll make an impact in the NFL
Alt wins with a special combination of length and athleticism. Coming from a pro-style offense at Notre Dame, he should be able to start immediately at left tackle and have a smooth transition to the league.
What are his weaknesses? What concerns do teams have?
Like many taller linemen, Alt sometimes struggles to play with ideal leverage and dominate in the run game.
Good team fits: Chargers, Patriots, Commanders, Titans, Bears
4. Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
Where he’ll make an impact in the NFL
Nabers is a dangerous weapon after the catch and can win from the outside or in the slot. He also has the speed to get behind the defense down the field.
What are his weaknesses? What concerns do teams have?
He tends to create separation with pure speed and will need to refine his routes to continue winning against the top-tier cornerbacks in the NFL.
Good team fits: Patriots, Cardinals, Giants, Bears, Jets
5. Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
Where he’ll make an impact in the NFL
Odunze is a prototypical outside receiver who wins with a combination of size, body control, and reliable hands. His physical running style also makes him surprisingly effective after the catch.
What are his weaknesses? What concerns do teams have?
Although he excels in contested situations, he could elevate his game by refining his routes to create more consistent separation in the NFL.
Good team fits: Bears, Cardinals, Patriots, Jets, Giants
