Reported deal: Three years/$21 million

The Chargers started their offensive line rebuild in the middle with Corey Linsley and they kept going with the signing of Matt Feiler. Feiler has been an underrated part of the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line over the past three seasons. He played mostly tackle in 2019 and 2020 and played guard — quite well — in 2020.

That versatility will help but the Chargers should be comfortable allowing Feiler to stay at guard, next to Linsley. Feiler was sixth among 46 guards in adjusted pass blown lock rate this past season, according to Sports Info Solutions, and 17th in adjusted blown block rate for the run.

Despite being in the NFL since 2014, Feiler will only turn 29 years old in July, which is a solid age range for a veteran on this contact. The Chargers won’t be done with just Linsely and Feiler but these are two moves to bring in solid linemen in an effort to help one of the league’s worst offensive lines from 2020.
