Let’s take a look at the injury roundup across the NFL following Week 6 action.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals lost LB Chandler Jones for the season last week, but Haason Reddick filled in nicely for Jones in his first start of the year. Reddick recorded two sacks against Dallas while playing a season-high 61% of the defensive snaps.

Atlanta Falcons

Not only did the Falcons pick up their first win of 2020 on Sunday, but they also did so while staying healthy. Julio Jones returned from a hamstring injury that forced him to miss two games and play only 21 snaps in Week 4. Jones played 64 snaps, the most he’s played since Week 1, and caught eight passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens roll into their bye week relatively healthy, with Mark Ingram’s sprained ankle perhaps the biggest concern facing the team. However, John Harbaugh is pretty confident Ingram will be ready to go when the Ravens play again in Week 8. Reserve cornerback Anthony Averett is heading to IR, but he has only played 16 defensive snaps in the last two weeks. Any other injury was described as “not serious” by Harbaugh on Monday.

Buffalo Bills

Guard Cody Ford left the game in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. The former second-round pick has struggled this season, allowing 14 quarterback pressures and posting an overall PFF grade of 54.6. Veteran backup Ike Boettger filled in for Ford and allowed one pressure in just 10 snaps. He’s played at both guard spots and center during his three-year career, but has yet to make an NFL start.

Carolina Panthers

Safety Juston Burris left Sunday’s game with a rib injury, and while we’re still waiting on the severity of that injury, the Panthers decided to reunite Matt Rhule with another guy who played for him at Temple by signing S Sean Chandler off the Giants’ practice squad. Burris has struggled in coverage this year, forcing just three incompletions and allowing a passer rating of 92.6 when targeted.

Chicago Bears

The Bears reported no new injuries heading into their Monday night matchup against the Rams in Week 7.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals lost star running back Joe Mixon at the end of Sunday’s loss to a foot injury, but head coach Zac Taylor didn’t seem too concerned, claiming the injury may not affect Mixon this week. The Bengals defensive line remains banged up with DE Sam Hubbard, DT Mike Daniels, and DT D.J. Reader all on IR. Cincinnati managed just one sack and three QB hits against Philip Rivers on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns

Quarterback Baker Mayfield battled through a rib injury in Sunday’s blowout loss and eventually gave way to Case Keenum in a move of precaution. Mayfield shouldn’t have any issue getting ready for Week 7. Starting RG Wyatt Teller missed Sunday’s game with a calf injury and his backup, Chris Hubbard really struggled, allowing two quarterback hits and receiving a pass-blocking grade of 42.2 from PFF.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys already have three starting offensive linemen, but another blow was dealt to Dallas when All-Pro guard Zack Martin left Monday night’s game with a concussion. Martin has allowed just one sack and nine QB pressures in 2020. Former third-round pick Connor McGovern filled in for Martin on Monday night. Prior to Monday, McGovern had played just two offensive snaps in the NFL. On a positive note, LB Leighton Vander Esch returned from IR and played in a limited role.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos beat the Patriots on Sunday, but did so without the services of CB AJ Bouye, WR KJ Hamler, and TE Noah Fant. All three guys have a chance of playing in Week 7, per Vic Fangio. The Broncos lost LG Dalton Risner to a shoulder injury, but he’s unsure about the severity of the injury. Risner has struggled in pass protection this year, allowing 12 pressures and five QB hits. Austin Schlottmann will replace Risner if he has to miss extended time. Schlottman graded out well last week and allowed just seven pressures in 159 pass-blocking snaps in 2019.

Detroit Lions

Detroit lost a pair of offensive linemen in their win over the Jaguars on Sunday. However, it doesn’t seem like the injuries will be much of a long-term issue as Halapoulivaati Vaitai left the game due to dehydration and Tyrell Crosby exited with cramps. Joe Dahl and Matt Nelson were the replacements on Sunday, the former keeping a clean sheet and the latter allowing two quarterback hits.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers had to finish Sunday’s game without the services of LT David Bakhtiari, who exited the game early with a chest injury. However, it doesn’t sound too serious, according to Matt LaFleur, who doesn’t have any concerns about the star left tackle moving forward. We’re still waiting on an update on S Darnell Savage, who missed part of the second half with a quad injury.

Houston Texans

The Texans didn’t suffer any new injuries in Week 6, however, they were missing tight end Jordan Akins for the second-straight week. Akins is dealing with a sprained ankle and was questionable leading up to Sunday. The Texans have put up over 30 points in each of the last two games and TE Darren Fells has benefitted from the extra playing time, recording six catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts enter their bye week with a number of guys banged up. Michael Pittman Jr. (leg) and LB Matthew Adams (ankle) will be eligible to return from the IR when the Colts reconvene and Frank Reich said the injured guys on his active roster such as LB Darius Leonard and TE Mo Alie-Cox are “making good progress.”

Jacksonville Jaguars

Defensive end Josh Allen hasn’t played since Week 4 due to a knee injury, but Doug Marrone said the Pro Bowler is trending in the right direction as of Monday. Myles Jack missed the end of Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, but no update has been given on his condition, which could be interpreted as good news. More good news for the Jags comes on special teams, where Josh Lambo will start kicking in practice. Lambo hasn’t played since suffering a hip injury in Week 2 and Jacksonville has gone through three kickers since, making five of eight field goal attempts.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs beat the Bills on Sunday, but lost a pair of starters in the process. Tackle Mitchell Schwartz played only eight snaps before leaving with a back injury that was originally reported on the Saturday injury report. Defensive end Alex Okafor suffered a hamstring injury, but it isn’t the same hamstring he injured in Week 1. Andy Reid didn’t sound too concerned about either injury post-game. Veteran Mike Remmers slid over from left guard to fill in for Schwartz on Sunday, allowing just two quarterback pressures in 34 pass-blocking opportunities.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers enjoyed their bye week and are coming back to some good news. Star defensive end Melvin Ingram has been designated for return from the IR, so he should be back soon. The Chargers were also dealing with injuries to WR Keenan Allen (back) and DE Joey Bosa (ankle), but both guys should be able to play in Week 7.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams remain one of the healthiest teams in the NFL, with LB Micah Kiser returning from injury. However, DB Jordan Fuller is on IR with a shoulder injury. Former second-round pick Taylor Rapp got the start in Fuller’s spot, however, the 49ers didn’t target him in pass coverage and Rapp finished with an overall defensive grade of 63.4 on PFF. The Rams host Chicago on Monday Night Football in Week 7. On Tuesday, the Rams put LB Obo Okoronkwo on IR with an elbow injury.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders returned to practice on Monday and made some moves with their COVID-19 list, activating DT Maurice Hurst, who posted five quarterback pressures on 56 opportunities and an overall PFF grade of 89.4 through the first four weeks of the season. The Raiders placed CB Damon Arnette on the COVID-19 list, however, the rookie was already on the IR while recovering from thumb surgery. Arnette is reportedly the only Raider to test positive.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins linebacking corps struggled to stay healthy on Sunday with Kyle Van Noy (groin/foot) inactive and Kamu Grugier-Hill unable to finish the game due to a hand injury. However, with a bye week upcoming, the biggest news in Miami comes on the offensive side of the ball where Tua Tagovailoa is expected to take over the starting quarterback role in Week 8. Tagovailoa had a number of injuries in college, including a broken hand, numerous ankle injuries, and a dislocated hip that ended his career at Alabama.

Minnesota Vikings

Cornerback Mike Hughes left Sunday’s game with a neck injury, leaving the Vikings with just three rookies as their only corners healthy. Holton Hill (foot) and Kris Boyd (hamstring) were inactive. The trio of Cameron Dantzler, Jeff Gladney, and Harrison Hand were torched by Matt Ryan, who threw for 371 yards and four touchdowns. The Vikings will enjoy their bye week in Week 7 so their secondary should be healthier when they head to Green Bay in Week 8.

New England Patriots

Center David Andrews is eligible to come off IR this week, but Bill Belichick was tight-lipped as usual, claiming all of their injured players were simply “day-to-day,” Andrews included. The Patriots struggled to protect Cam Newton against the Broncos in Week 6, allowing four sacks and six quarterback hits.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints are coming off a bye in Week 6 and should finally be with the services of Michael Thomas when they play the Panthers in Week 7. Thomas was a healthy scratch in Week 5 due to a team-issued suspension.

New York Giants

The Giants have a quick turnaround with their Thursday night matchup against the Eagles impending. Darius Slayton was limited in practice on Monday with a foot injury and WR CJ Board is in concussion protocol. However, WR Sterling Shepard is hoping to play for the first time since suffering a toe injury in Week 2. He’s been on IR since and the Giants only have two wide receivers who have eclipsed the 100-yard mark this season.

New York Jets

Sam Darnold’s status remains a question after Adam Gase refused to give a straight answer on Monday. The Jets offensive line is banged up and it might not be smart to put an injured QB behind a line that allowed nine quarterback hits against Miami last week. Joe Flacco has completed just 50 percent of his passes in his two starts and has averaged 4.95 yards per attempt.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles can’t catch a break. Zach Ertz has a high ankle sprain and could miss a month. Miles Sanders is expected to miss at least one game with a knee injury. Defensive tackle Malik Jackson and T Jack Driscoll are expected to miss the next two weeks. Tackle Lane Johnson didn’t practice on Monday, but WR Desean Jackson, WR Alshon Jeffery, and CB Avonte Maddox were all limited in Monday’s practice after missing Week 6. The Eagles finished Sunday’s game with Jason Kelce as the only healthy starter on the offensive line and Carson Wentz as the only other healthy starter from Week 1 on offense.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Linebacker Devin Bush tore his ACL on Sunday and will miss the remainder of 2020. Career special-teamer Robert Spillane filled in for Bush on Sunday, playing the remaining 30 defensive snaps after playing just one defensive snap in the first two years of his career. Stefen Wisniewski’s status remains a mystery. The veteran guard needs to be activated in the next two weeks, or he will be ineligible to return in 2020, however Mike Tomlin had no update on his condition.

San Francisco 49ers

Raheem Mostert is headed to the IR with a high-ankle sprain and Tevin Coleman is a long shot to return this week, per Kyle Shanahan. Rookie Jamycal Hasty had 37 yards on nine carries and Jerick McKinnon had 18 yards on six carries in their win over the Rams. McKinnon got a pair of starts earlier in the year when Mostert was out. Center Ben Garland is also expected to land on the IR and Weston Richburg remains on the PUP list after suffering a knee injury in 2019.

Seattle Seahawks

Both WR Phillip Dorsett and DE Rasheem Green are eligible to come off the IR and both guys were at practice following the bye week. The status of S Jamal Adams, who missed the previous two games, remains in question, but Pete Carroll was optimistic prior to the bye week. Carlos Hyde is also questionable for Sunday’s game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Leonard Fournette was expected to play against the Packers on Sunday, but he didn’t feel well prior to the game and was inactive. With Fournette inactive, Ronald Jones had a career day, carrying the ball 23 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns, all season-highs. Cameron Brate was expected to have a bigger role in the offense with OJ Howard on the IR, but the veteran had just one catch for three yards.

Tennessee Titans

Taylor Lewan suffered a torn ACL on Sunday and will miss the remainder of the 2020 season. Ty Sambrailo will replace Lewan, the veteran has allowed two sacks and five pressures in 69 pass-blocking snaps this season. In his six-year career, Sambrailo never posted a PFF grade over 66.6.

Washington Football Team

The Washington offensive line took a pair of hits this week, including the announcement that G Joshua Garnett is retiring, however, Garnett has played just four offensive snaps in 2020 and hasn’t started a game since 2016. Reserve tackle Saahdiq Charles suffered a dislocated kneecap and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
