Week 15 brings us our first slate of Saturday games with three games scheduled before the rest of the League kicks off later in the weekend.

That means we will have the first set of write-ups on Friday before the rest of the NFL releases their final injury reports.

– The Colts will be missing slot corner Kenny Moore on Saturday. He hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury back in Week 12.

With Moore out, safety Julian Blackmon moved into the slot and seventh-round rookie Rodney Thomas started at free safety. Blackmon allowed one catch for nine yards on two targets and Thomas earned the team’s second-highest coverage grade on Pro Football Focus for his efforts.

Justin Jefferson presents a tough matchup this week, he’s second in the NFL in receiving yards out of the slot and averages nearly 18 yards per catch.

Christian Darrisaw will be returning this week after missing multiple games with his second concussion of the season.

His return couldn’t come at a better time with backup Blake Brandel moved to IR with a knee injury. Oli Udoh, who made two starts at left tackle last season, finished last week’s game after Brandel went out.

The Vikings have struggled with Darrisaw on the sideline, allowing a pressure rate of 43.8% and 16 sacks.

Huntley started against the Browns last season, passing for 270 yards and a touchdown on 38 attempts. He also added 46 rushing yards, but lost two fumbles.

The Browns have been the best defense against rushing quarterbacks this season, allowing an NFL-best 112 yards on 48 attempts.

Terron Armstead is questionable after being upgraded to a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. He’s missed two games this season, but played all 51 offensive snaps last week and expressed he expects to play on Saturday.

Tyreek Hill is also expected to play as he deals with a nagging ankle injury. The NFL’s leader in receiving yards had 141 yards from scrimmage last week, including a 60-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.

– With Kenny Pickett listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game, Mitchell Trubisky is expected to start for the Steelers, although Mason Rudolph could also get some snaps after the duo split first-team reps in practice all week.

Trubisky started the first four games of the season before losing the job to Pickett. He completed 73 percent of his passes last week in relief of the rookie, but also tossed three interceptions in the loss.

Rudolph hasn’t taken a snap this year and his last start came in a 16-16 tie with Detroit in 2021. He’s completed 61 percent of his passes in his career, averaging 6.2 yards per attempt.

With Laviska Shenault also considered questionable, Sam Darnold could have Terrace Marshall Jr. and Shi Smith as his top two receivers against the Steelers.

Marshall has just two catches for 26 yards in the last two games, but was hot before that, averaging nearly 65 yards per game over his previous four contests.

Reed Blankenship will be out this week after suffering a knee injury in Week 14. The Eagles will be down to their third option at safety with CJ Gardner-Johnson still on the IR with a lacerated kidney.

K’Von Wallace played a season-high 46 snaps in relief of Blankenship and could get his first start of the season.

The Eagles also added veteran Anthony Harris to their practice squad this week after he was cut by the Broncos. Harris spent 2021 with the Eagles, intercepting one pass and forcing three pass breakups.

– The Eagles also could get tight end Dallas Goedert back this week after he was designated to return from the IR on Wednesday. He’s been out since suffering a shoulder injury in Week 10.

Goedert was having the best season of his career prior to the injury, averaging 10.3 yards per target and catching over 80 percent of the passes thrown his way.

Mecole Hardman was designated to return from the IR this week after sitting out with an abdominal injury, but he’s expected to sit out at least one more game before returning.

– The Chiefs also added Chris Jones to the injury report on Friday after he sat out of practice due to an illness. He’s currently considered questionable, although it would be fairly surprising if he missed any time.

– The hapless Texans will be without six starters on Sunday. We will start with the offense.

Dameon Pierce is expected to be inactive after suffering an ankle injury last week. The duo of Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale will split the carries.

Burkhead has 26 carries for 80 yards this season and Ogunbowale has eight touches for 27 yards. Last week, both guys finished the game with negative three rushing yards.

As for the receivers, both Nico Collins and Brandin Cooks have been ruled out for another week.

Last week, Chris Moore had a huge game against the Cowboys, catching 10 of his 11 targets for 124 yards. Amari Rodgers chipped in four catches for 57 yards.

– On the defense, Houston will be missing both of their starting cornerbacks again. Derek Stingley has been nursing his hamstring injury since Week 10 and Steven Nelson went down last week with a foot injury.

Desmond King has been starting in Stingley’s spot and Tremon Smith should get the start this week after grabbing two interceptions against Dallas.

Tyron Smith is expected to make his 2022 debut on Sunday, albeit in a different position than expected. The All Pro left tackle has been working at right tackle this week and should see some snaps there.

With rookie Tyler Smith playing well at left tackle and Terence Steele lost for the season, the Cowboys could experiment with keeping the rookie on the left side and putting the vet on the right.

Tyron Smith last played right tackle in 2011 with Doug Free playing left tackle. As a rookie, Smith allowed eight sacks and 30 pressures.

Wilson lost the starting job to White after Week 11. In seven starts, the former second-overall pick has thrown four touchdowns and five interceptions.

However, Detroit’s passing defense has been pretty porous, ranking 30th in yards allowed and dead last in points per drive allowed.

Corey Davis will also be inactive this week as he remains in concussion protocol.

Elijah Moore had his best game of the season last week, leading the team in targets and tying Garrett Wilson with six receptions.

Tennessee’s pass rush has really struggled since Autry went down in Week 11, earning just three sacks and pressuring opposing quarterbacks 23 percent of the time in the past three games.

With Tre Avery also ruled out, Terrance Mitchell should get another start at cornerback. In last week’s game, he allowed two catches for 22 yards on two targets.
