  • Only 16.2% of Indianapolis' sets of downs have reached third and long, second in the league.
  • 4.0% of Arizona's plays have gained 20-plus yards, ahead of only the Browns (3.9%), Bengals (3.7%), and Saints (1.5%).

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: Jones was solid on Sunday, completing 20 of 29 passes for 212 yards with 2 touchdowns.

Unfortunately for gamers, he ended the week as QB17 (16.7 points) as he was not tasked with doing much lifting in a blowout win.

The Colts had 4 rushing touchdowns.

Jones has been a victim of the team's success to a degree.

The Colts have a 62.8% dropback rate in the first half of games (11th), but that rate drops significantly to 44.6% (31st) in the second half to open the year.

Jones only threw 5 passes in the second half on Sunday, which slowed down his fantasy output.

Jones leads the league in fantasy points scored in the first half of games this year, but he is 23rd in second-half scoring.

We also have not seen Jones run much.

He had 3 one-yard touchdowns in the opening two weeks of the season, which boosted his fantasy lines, but he has not found the end zone rushing since.

Jones has rushed for 56 yards in total.

His 11.2 yards per game on the ground would be a career low by a good margin.

Now that we are mounting our sample this season, Jones is looking more like he belongs in the Jared Goff range (with untapped mobility) of back-end QB1 options.

Sometimes the running game and game scripts will prevent a pure runout for fantasy, but the floor is still viable.

We have another good spot for production here.

The Colts are significant favorites at home with a 27-point team total.

Arizona has allowed only 6.4 yards per pass attempt (9th) and a 2.4% touchdown rate (third).

While those numbers are strong, we have to question how strong they actually are.

Arizona is 26th in pressure rate (31.5%).

They have arguably had the best passing schedule in the league so far, opening the year against Spencer Rattler, Bryce Young, Mac Jones, Sam Darnold, and Cam Ward.

Darnold threw for 9.8 yards per pass attempt against them.

Jones threw for 284 yards.

Kyler Murray: Murray is dealing with a foot injury and is not practicing to open the week.

Jonathan Gannon said that Murray would play if he was healthy enough, so we will have follow this throughout the week.

If Murray cannot play, Jacoby Brissett is the backup.

Murray has yet to log a QB1 scoring week this season despite games against the Saints, Titans, and Panthers.

He has not thrown for more than 220 yards in any game this season.

Murray is averaging 6.0 yards per pass attempt, 29th in the league.

His 3.7% touchdown rate is 26th.

Murray is averaging 5.8 air yards per pass attempt, ahead of only Aaron Rodgers (4.8).

Just 26.9% of Murray’s throws have been 10 or more yards downfield (30th).

Murray has done nothing to warrant being handled as more than a floor-based QB2.

The best thing he has going for him is that he is running more, averaging 5.8 rushes per game, his most since 2022.

The Colts are another one of these early-season defenses that have been good at generating a high rate of turnovers but have not faced overly challenging opponents.

They have games against Geno Smith, Cam Ward, and Tua Tagovailoa.

When they faced Bo Nix, they allowed 20.2 fantasy points.

Against Matthew Stafford, they allowed 27.4 fantasy points.

Does Murray warrant consideration for treatment with the latter duo or the former group?

It is hard to make the case for him, but Arizona should be pushed to score points here.

The Colts are 25th in pressure rate (32%), but from a clean pocket, Murray is averaging 6.0 yards per pass attempt (29th).
