Motivation or Rest Alert

The Colts can clinch a playoff spot with a win and even still make it in with a loss if both the Ravens and Chargers also lose. Expect the Colts to play this one out aggressively, especially since they have not won in Jacksonville since 2014, including the lone win the Jaguars had a year ago.

Jacksonville has long been eliminated from the postseason and is already in the process of hiring the next head coach.

Quarterback

Carson Wentz: Wentz was able to get cleared from COVID protocols in time to start on Sunday, but as we have seen in many cases, his performance was impacted. Wentz completed just 59.3% of his passes for 5.5 yards with a touchdown pass.

Wentz has now thrown for 6.2 yards per pass attempt over his past 10 games with one or fewer touchdown throws in five of those weeks. The good news here is he draws a Jacksonville defense that is playing out the season and just allowed 50 points a week ago to New England. The Jaguars are 27th in points allowed per pass attempt (0.46) while allowing a league-high 70.0% completion rate. Wentz was pedestrian when these teams met in Week 10 (7.1 fantasy points), but that is a low bar to clear in the rematch and gives him a pulse a higher-end QB2 and fringe streamer in 1QB leagues.
