Quarterback

Justin Herbert: Herbert ended last week as QB23 (7.9 points), the fourth time that he has ended a week as QB16 or lower over this past seven games.

Herbert failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second time this season. He also completed 59.5% of his passes, the sixth time over the past nine games that he failed to complete 60% of his attempts.

Herbert’s down weeks for fantasy have been fairly easy to diagnose, coming against the Chiefs, Jets, Ravens, and Patriots.

All of those teams are in the top 10 in passing points allowed per pass attempt.

The Broncos are still 29th (0.467) with their rough start to the year factored in, but they are third in the league since Week 5 (0.320).

Denver has allowed seven passing touchdowns over their past eight games, second in the league.

They did allow 10.1 yards per pass attempt to C.J. Stroud last week, but after limiting Stroud to a QB14 scoring week, Denver has not allowed a QB1 scoring week since Week 6

That run includes games against Stroud, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes.

Gamers may not have a streamer available that can match Herbert’s weekly upside (he has five top-five weeks), but he is a boom-or-bust fantasy option this week.
