- The Texans have outscored opponents 142-85 (+57) in the first half this season, 4th in the league.

- Dallas is 2-7 against the spread this season (0-4 at home), 31st in the NFL.
- The Cowboys have been outscored 153-59 (-94) at home this season, the worst margin in the league.

Quarterback
C.J. Stroud (TRUST): Stroud opened up Sunday Night on fire.
He completed 14-of-20 (70%) passes for 164 yards (8.2 Y/A) and a touchdown in the first half against Detroit.
Things then took a turn as he was 5-of-13 (38.5%) for 68 yards (5.2 Y/A) with no touchdowns and two interceptions after the half.
Stroud ended the week as QB18 (9.8 points), his 6th-straight game as a QB2 scorer.
He was pressured on another 42.1% of his dropbacks, the 4th-straight game in which he has been pressured on over 40% of the dropbacks.
That could still remain an issue here.
Dallas is certainly not a good defense, but they have sustained creating pressure.
They have pressured the quarterback 38% of the time, which is 5th in the league.
When they do not create pressure is why I believe Stroud is set up for success this week.
When the Cowboys have not pressured the opposing passer, they have allowed a 74.7% completion rate (27th), a league-high 9.2 yards per pass attempt, and a 6% touchdown rate (30th).
Stroud also is getting Nico Collins back this week.
With Collins on the field, Stroud has completed 70.5% of his passes for 8.4 Y/A compared to a 57.9% completion rate and 6.4 Y/A with Collins off the field.
Cooper Rush: This Dallas offense had already been underwhelming with Dak Prescott, so it was no surprise to see things crater with Prescott off the field.
Rush completed 13-of-23 passes for only 45 yards on Sunday.
You have to go all of the way to 2001 to find a game in which a quarterback attempted that many passes and threw for that few yards.
Ironically, it was another Cowboy, Anthony Wright.
He ended the game with negative fantasy points.
Rush is a thin start, even in 2QB formats.
We could see Trey Lance worked in more.
Houston has allowed the lowest completion rate in the league (54.4%) and even held Jared Goff to a 50% rate on Sunday.
They are allowing 11.7 yards per completion when passes have connected (27th) with a league-high 6.8% touchdown rate if you are chasing a positive outcome for Rush in those 2QB formats.
