Quarterback
Derek Carr: Carr played through a shoulder injury last week and it showed.
He completed 23 passes for just 127 yards. That 3.4 yards per pass attempt was the second-fewest he has had in a game of his career.
Carr averaged just 0.5 air yards per completed pass on Sunday, the fewest in the league in a game this season.
60.9% of his completed passes were behind the line of scrimmage, the highest rate for a quarterback in a game this season.
Carr has been the QB15, QB34, QB27, and QB32 in fantasy to open the year, leaving him stuck as a back-end QB2 here.
The Patriots are allowing 11.1 passing points per game, ninth in the league.
They did just lose starters Matthew Judon and Christian Gonzalez to injury to offer more matchup appeal, but not enough to make Carr a reliable option in 1QB formats.
