Quarterback
Eagles QB: With Jalen Hurts in concussion protocol, it is unsure if he will be available to play this weekend.
After losing last week, the Eagles have thin odds of landing the No. 1 seed in the NFC, while they cannot lose the No. 2 seed at this stage.
They could use this week to give Hurts a week off, but the implied total is still based on his availability.
If Hurts does play, then it's business as usual with how we approach him as a QB1.
He was the QB3 (29.7 points) when these teams met in Week 10.
If Hurts cannot clear protocol, then Kenny Pickett will make his first start with the Eagles.
Entering the game on Sunday, Pickett was 14-of-24 (58.3%) for 143 yards (6.0 Y/A) with a touchdown and an interception.
He added 13 yards rushing.
Pickett was a boom-or-bust passer on Sunday.
He had the highest rate of dropbacks, which resulted in -1.0 EPA or worse in Week 16 (26.7%).
He was 11th in the rate of dropbacks, which added 1.0 EPA or more (26.7%).
Only 4.2% of his throws were inaccurate, the second-lowest rate in Week 16.
If Pickett does start, he will be a volatile QB2.
He is not the same fantasy performer as Hurts, but this is still the best collection of talent that Pickett has played with.
Dallas is 21st in passing points allowed per game (14.1), offering matchup appeal.
The Cowboys can still rush the passer.
They are fourth in the NFL regarding pressure rate (37%).
When Pickett was pressured on Sunday, he was 3-of-9 for 26 yards (2.9 Y/A).
Cooper Rush: Rush closed Week 16 as QB19 (15.3 points).
He threw for 292 yards, the second-most in a game since taking over as the starter.
His 8.3 Y/A was a season-high, and he completed 74.3% of his passes, the second-highest rate he has had in a week.
Rush has given gamers usable 2QB scores but is stuck as a back-end QB2 this week.
The Eagles' Week 16 defensive performance was their worst since their bye on Sunday in Washington. Still, this team's substantial work suggests it was an aberration rather than a normality.
Even with Sunday’s outing factored in, Philadelphia is third in passing points allowed (12.4 per game).
Rush was ransacked in the first outing between these teams.
He completed 13-of-23 passes for only 45 yards.
You have to go back to 2001 to find a game in which a quarterback attempted that many passes and threw for that few yards.
He ended the game with negative fantasy points.
We expect Rush to be better than that this week, but with a gross team total on the road this week, the upside is limited.
To compound matters, CeeDee Lamb will miss the rest of the season.
