Mark Andrews Wild Card Round Fantasy Outlook

Andrews did not play as much in 2024 as previous seasons, but he was still an impactful player when on the field.

Andrews ran a route on 65.8% of the dropbacks in his games this season, his lowest rate since 2019.

But after a slow start to the season, Andrews found his footing in the offense.

From Week 5 on, Andrews was 10th among tight ends in receptions (49), sixth in receiving yards (608), and first in touchdowns (11) while ranking 15th in targets (60).

He had only 57 fewer yards than Travis Kelce over that span.

Kelce had 52 more targets.

Over that stretch of the season, Andrews was third among tight ends in yards per route run (2.21), trailing only George Kittle (2.84) and Trey McBride (2.28).

We have always been looking for more routes and playing time for Andrews because he has been as good as ever per opportunity and remains a front-end touchdown producer.

Andrews has scored in six straight games and 10 of his past 12.

If Zay Flowers is absent or banged up, that trickles down to Andrews getting more opportunity.

With Flowers off the field in Week 18, Andrews matched Rashod Bateman with a team-high 7 targets (29.2%).

Andrews was also pressed into playing more without Flowers on the field.

He ran a route on 82.8% of the dropbacks without Flowers on the field.

In the two games against Pittsburgh, Andrews was only on the field for 57.1% (2-22-0) and 68% (4-37-1) of the dropbacks.
