- The Patriots were the only team that did not have an offensive play of 20 or more yards in Week 1.
- Seattle had a league-high 74.6% success rate on defense in Week 1, their highest rate in a game since Week 13 of 2015.
- The Seahawks had a league-high 44.9% pressure rate in Week 1.
- New England averaged a league-low 0.36 yards before contact per rush in Week 1 but averaged 4.0 yards after contact per run (3rd).
- The Seahawks allowed five or more yards on 20.0% of the runs against them in Week 1, the lowest rate in the league.
- Seattle used 11 personnel on 92.6% of their passing plays in Week 1 (2nd in the NFL) after a 73.6% rate in 2023 (15th).

Quarterback
Geno Smith: Smith had issues as a passer on Sunday but was able to use a 34-yard rushing touchdown to bolster a QB9 (17.8 points) scoring week.
Smith only posted 8.8 passing points (QB20), completing 18 of 25 throws for 171 yards (6.8 Y/A) with a touchdown and an interception.
Protection was still an issue for Seattle.
Smith was pressured on 39.3% of his dropbacks, the 10th-highest rate in Week 1.
When Smith was pressured, he completed just 44.4% of his passes.
When kept clean, Smith completed 87.5% of his passes.
Right tackle George Fant was forced to exit the game and his status is “day-to-day.”
The good news is that the Patriots only pressured Joe Burrow on 21.6% of his dropbacks (26th), but that was largely a product of Burrow averaging only 5.6 air yards per attempt (24th) and getting the ball out.
New England only allowed 5.7 yards per attempt to Burrow without a touchdown.
If Seattle is going to play a similar game where Smith gets rid of the ball quickly with a shallow depth of target, he is only an option for 2QB formats.
Seattle also could see a similar script if they control things.
The Seahawks had a 46.7% dropback rate in Week 1, which was 29th in the league.
Jacoby Brissett: Brissett and the Patriots pulled off the upset over Cincinnati on Sunday, but his fantasy day was nondescript.
Brissett ended the week as QB28 (8.0 points), completing 15 of 24 passes for 121 yards (5.0 Y/A) while rushing for 32 yards. He did not throw a touchdown or an interception.
The New England offensive line was a concern coming in missing Sidy Sow and Cole Strange, and Brissett was pressured on a league-high 44.8% of his dropbacks.
Seattle pressured Bo Nix on 42.9% of his dropbacks in Week 1, the second-highest rate in the league.
Brissett may not make the same mistakes under pressure as Nix did in his first start, but Brissett is a low-end option even for 2QB formats.
