  • The Bengals have failed to achieve a first down or touchdown on 51.4% of their drives, 31st in the league.
  • The Titans are allowing a league-low 2.6 yards per rushing play but 7.1 yards per passing play (26th).
  • The Titans are averaging 6.7 yards per play on first downs (fourth) but just 2.8 yards per play on second down (31st) and 1.5 yards per play on third down (32nd).

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Joe Burrow: Unsure about his status heading into Monday Night, Burrow was not only able to play, but the Bengals had him drop back to pass 50 times.

98.0% of their passing plays were out of the shotgun. 64.0% of Burrow’s throws were within 2.5 seconds to work around the injury.

Despite the volume, the Bengals still only scored 19 points and one offensive touchdown.

Burrow closed the week QB26 (8.2 points) and has yet to log a week higher than QB20 to start the season.

If he were 100% healthy this week, this would be a trusted spot. Even with Burrow not fully healthy, it is a matchup that should provide the Cincinnati passing game a boost.

The Titans have once again shut down the run but continue to struggle to defend the pass.

Tennessee is allowing a 71.9% completion rate (28th), 8.4 yards per pass attempt (29th), 11.7 yards per completion (28th), a 4.7% touchdown rate (25th), and 18.7 passing points for fantasy per game (27th).

The Tennessee pass defense was just an elixir for Deshaun Watson after a subpar start to the season. We are looking for the same thing here.

The books have penalized Cincinnati for the opening to their season and Burrow’s health. This team total is fully adjusted and should give us some pause on fully anticipating a spike week.

But if you have been holding or starting Burrow to this point and are frustrated with the results, he has to be on the board as a QB1 for another week now that we saw him play on Monday.
