  • Since hiring Doug Pederson, the Eagles are 11-4 in non-conference games (73.3%), trailing only the Patriots at 13-4 (76.5%).
  • Tom Brady averages 8.27 yards per pass attempt when kept clean (12th) as opposed to 4.05 Y/A when under pressure (33rd). That under pressure Y/A is ahead of only Mitchell Trubisky (3.97) and Mason Rudolph (3.31).
  • The Eagles rank eighth in the league in pressure rate defensively (25.6%).
  • The Patriots have rushed for 75.7 yards per game over their past three games, 29th in the league.
  • The Eagles are allowing 60.8 rushing yards per game at home this season, the fewest in the league.
  • 46.6% of the Eagles offensive yardage has stemmed via rushing over their past three games (third) after 31.8% through six weeks (18th).
  • 46.9% of the yardage gained on the Patriots while the offense has been at home this season has been gained through rushing yardage, the highest rate in the league.

Trust (spike production for that player)

  • Julian Edelman: Edelman has 27.7% of the New England targets over his past five games, averaging 11.6 targets per game over that stretch. He’s been a top-24 scorer in all five games with three top-10 weeks over that stretch. The Eagles are 28th in yardage allowed per game to opposing lead wideouts (86.3). The majority of those yards have been surrendered to primary boundary options, but Edelman is locked into volume as Brady’s security blanket while opposing teams are forced to go pass-heavy against the Eagles.
  • Miles Sanders: Sanders is coming off 13 touches prior to the bye, the most he’s had in a game since Week 5. He’s taken on a complementary role in the offense, but has still generated splash plays, averaging 8.1 yards per touch over his past five games with five straight weeks as an RB3 or higher. Now, with news that Jordan Howard has not yet been cleared for contact this week, Sanders could be pressed into a starting role this weekend. Eagles backs have run for 131 and 176 yards over their past two games while New England has allowed 149 and 141 yards to the Baltimore and Cleveland backfields over the previous two games.

On the Cusp (proxy of a player’s average)

  • Tom Brady: Brady has been a QB2 in each of his past three games, averaging 6.2 yards per pass attempt in those games as opposed to 7.6 Y/A over his opening six games. The Eagles can pressure the passer, ranking 11th (25.6%), but also are prone to giving up passing production, ranking 20th in passing points allowed per game (15.6) and they have allowed five top-12 scoring weeks on the season.
  • James White: White has been a RB2 or better in every game this season with a season-low finish as RB23. The Eagles are 23rd in receptions allowed per game (5.7) to opposing running backs.
  • Mohamed Sanu: Sanu played 100% of the snaps in his second game with the Patriots, catching 10-of-14 targets (30.4%) for 81 yards and a touchdown. Sanu has run just 47.3% of his routes from the slot with the Patriots after 84.4% with Atlanta. The Eagles are last in the league in points allowed to boundary WRs at 30.6 per game.
  • Zach Ertz: Ertz is coming off his first 100-yard game of the season after failing to reach 60 yards in a game since Week 4. Ertz is still fourth among all tight ends in routes run (33.1 per game) and second in targets per game (8.3) but has had his ceiling limited by Wentz’s depressed numbers and lac of high-leverage opportunities. Ertz has just one end zone target this season, while Goedert has four.

Bust (down-week production for that player’s standards)

  • Carson Wentz: Wentz has been a QB1 in just one of his past five games, He’s thrown multiple touchdowns in just one of those games while averaging 6.9 yards per pass attempt. The Patriots have yet to allow multiple touchdown passes in any game this season and allow a league-low 5.3 Y/A to passers.
  • Sony Michel: Michel is a rushing dependent fantasy producer going against one of the league’s best rushing defenses. 95.1% of his fantasy output is through rushing while the Eagles are allowing 64.6 rushing yards per game to running backs (second), leaving Michel touchdown dependent this week.

If You Must (intriguing bench option or deeper league play)

  • Phillip Dorsett: Dorsett has just 12.2% of the team targets since Sanu was acquired. He hasn’t had more than three catches in a game since Week 3, but still played 98% of the snaps in Week 9 while the Eagles are last in the league in points allowed to outside wideouts.
  • Dallas Goedert: The Eagles have adapted to being a 2TE offense with Goedert playing 71.1% of the snaps over the past six games. He’s set a new season-high in snap share in each of his past two games and is coming off running a season-high 29 pass routes. He’s yet to have a TE1 scoring week without a touchdown, but has four end zone targets, which trail only Alshon Jeffery (six) on the season.
