- 55.9% of the Seattle rushing yardage came via explosive gains (runs of 10 or more yards), the highest rate in the league in 2022.
- Seattle allowed 4.4 scoring plays per game in 2022, 30th in the NFL.
- The Rams averaged 1.70 points per drive in 2022 (22nd in the league), their fewest per drive under Sean McVay.

- The Seahawks were second in the NFL in success rate throwing outside of the numbers (57.3%) in 2022.

Quarterback
Geno Smith (TRUST): Smith was one of the best stories of the 2022 season.
At age 32, Smith led the NFL with a 69.8% completion rate, throwing for 4,282 yards and 30 passing touchdowns.
Only Patrick Mahomes matched Smith in games last season with multiple passing touchdowns (12).
He inked a three-year extension; Seattle did not draft a rookie quarterback to push him and also added Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first round as another pass-catching weapon. With Smith-Njigba now slated to be active Week 1, Smith gets another strong weapon on the field paired with access to D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
Seattle used 11 personnel on just 63.0% of their passing plays in 2022, which was 26th in the league. Expect that rate to rise in 2023, especially as the season progresses.
In two games against the Rams in 2022, Smith was the QB3 (22.9 points) and the QB15 (13.6 points).
That was a Los Angeles defense that had Jalen Ramsey, Bobby Wagner, and Leonard Floyd among others.
The Rams have torn down their defense this offseason.
This defense is one that we are going to target early in the season because there is a limited amount of objective talent remaining.
Outside of Aaron Donald, the Rams do not have another defensive player selected with draft capital in the first two rounds. They have just two other starters (linebackers Earnest Jones and Byron Young) who were selected in the opening three rounds of the NFL Draft.
