Quarterback

Geno Smith: Smith returned under center last week and closed as QB15 (17.3 points).

Smith only has three QB1 scoring weeks this season, but he has found some ground as a viable QB2.

He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in five of his past eight games after doing so once through five games.

His down weeks have been identifiable over that span, with his three weeks as QB20 or lower coming against Cleveland, Baltimore, and San Francisco.

This is a middling matchup but one you do not have to run from.

Pittsburgh is allowing 7.3 yards per pass attempt (21st) and 13.5 passing points per game (16th).

Pittsburgh QB: Early expectations are that we will see Mason Rudolph draw another start this week for the Steelers.

Rudolph was QB12 (20.0 points) on Christmas Eve, providing 2QB streamers a solid present heading into the holiday.

I would be hesitant chasing that outing and using Rudolph as more than a back-end QB2 on the road in Seattle.

The Steelers’ two highest yardage totals this season have come against the Bengals.

Their two highest passing totals this season have come against the Bengals.

As was the case in Week 12 after they had success against Cincinnati and then flatlined for the next three weeks, last week tells me more about how bad that Bengals defense is than anything I want to lean in on with the Pittsburgh offense being good.

Seattle is allowing just 6.6 yards per attempt at home this season (12th), allowing seven passing touchdowns over seven games on their field.
