  • Washington is the only remaining team without a turnover on offense.
  • The Commanders have punted on a league-low 12.0% of possessions.
  • Washington has scored on a league-high 64.0% of their drives. It is the second-highest rate for a team through three games in the 2000s, trailing only the 2020 Packers (66.7%).
  • Washington has allowed opponents to score on a league-high 69.6% of their possessions, the highest rate through three weeks for any team in the 2000s.
  • Washington is averaging a league-high 42.2 yards per drive.
  • Washington is allowing a league-high 50.7 yards per drive.
  • Arizona is averaging 37.1 yards per drive, 5th in the league.
  • The Cardinals have a 46.3% success rate defending passing plays and are 31st in the league.
  • Washington has a 45.0% success rate defending passing plays, the lowest rate in the league.
  • Arizona has allowed a play of 10 or more yards on 21.3% of their snaps, 27th in the league.
  • Washington has allowed a play of 10 or more yards on 27.3% of their snaps, 31st in the league.

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Kyler Murray (TRUST): Murray has opened the season with uneven weeks as QB15, QB1, and QB17.

We were rightfully cautious with him last week in a more challenging spot than assumed versus Detroit.

One key to cashing out was avoiding Murray (the most popular quarterback) in DFS last week.

His down Week 1 game against Buffalo also appears matchup-induced as the season sample grows.

His spike week came in soft conditions against the Rams.

If we are playing the matchup game this week, he gets the fantasy gift that has been the Commanders.

After allowing the most passing points per game in 2023, Washington has opened the season, allowing a league-high 22.6 passing points per game.

They have allowed Baker Mayfield (QB2), Daniel Jones (QB6), and Joe Burrow (QB7) all to have spike weeks to start the season.

Going back to last season, Washington has allowed a QB1 scoring week in 17-of-21 games.

While the passing matchup is as good as it gets, Murray’s rushing ability is a cherry on top.

He has rushed for 57, 59, and 45 yards to start the season.

Jayden Daniels (TRUST): Daniels is coming off a signature performance on Monday Night Football, connecting on 21-of-23 (91.3%) passes against the Bengals, which set a new record for completion rate in a game for a rookie passer.

While that will draw the headlines, what we care about is that efficiency came attached to continued growth as a downfield passer.

Daniels averaged a season-high 11.0 yards per pass attempt.

After throwing only 12.5% of his passes 10 or more yards downfield in Week 1, that rate rose to 27.6% in Week 2 and was up to 34.8% this past week.

His throws of 15-plus yards downfield have gone from 8.3%, to 13.8%, to 17.4%.

Daniels was one of the best deep-ball throwers in college, so it’s excellent to see the trajectory of incorporating more shot plays by Kliff Kingsbury.

Daniels has completed 68.4% (13-of-19) of his passes when throwing 10 or more yards downfield, second in the league.

Daniels also added 39 yards and his 3rd rushing touchdown of the season.

He has rushed double-digit times in all three games.

Daniels has 16 designed runs (3rd among QBs) while leading the league with 17 scrambles.

If you check out the Colts section of the Worksheet this week, you will find some inverse nuggets on Anthony Richardson.

Daniels already has two weeks as a top-3 scorer, and he draws another great matchup.

Arizona’s pressure rate (28.4%) is 25th in the league but drops to 29th when you remove the Rams game.

The Cardinals are 29th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.546) and are allowing 8.9 yards per pass attempt (31st).
