  • Denver has trailed for 89.8% of their offensive snaps, behind only the Dolphins (94.9%) through three weeks.
  • The Broncos are just the eighth team since the 1970 merger to not have a sack through three weeks of a season and the first since the 2007 Saints.
  • Denver also has zero takeaways on defense, the first team to not have a sack or takeaway on defense ever through three games.
  • Gardner Minshew leads the NFL with a 152.1 quarterback rating using play-action.
  • Minshew has used play-action on just 10.6% of his dropbacks, the lowest rate for all quarterbacks in the league.
  • The Broncos are tied for the league-lead in red zone plays (43) while the Jaguars are tied for 30th with the Dolphins at 11.
  • Phillip Lindsay is tied for the league-lead with five opportunities (targets and carries) from inside of the red zone (13), inside of the 10-yard line (eight), and inside 5-yard line (five).

On the Cusp (proxy of a player’s average)

  • Leonard Fournette: He leads all running backs with 98.2% of the Jacksonville backfield touches and is averaging a career-high 4.7 receptions per game. The downside is that scoring opportunities continue to be fleeting for Fournette and we have another game in which the Jaguars have an implied team total under 20 points. Denver is off to a shaky start versus backs, however, ranking 23rd in points allowed per game and have allowed the RB7, RB17, and RB16 to each lead running back to open the season.
  • Phillip Lindsay: Lindsay’s efficiency on the ground has dipped from 5.4 yards per carry to 3.6 yards per carry this season, but his increased use in the passing game and near the goal line has elevated his floor to account for that loss. Lindsay is averaging 4.0 receptions per game with at least four grabs in every game.
  • Royce Freeman: Freeman has also been more than FLEX worthy, sharing time with Lindsay despite not having the touchdown opportunities. Freeman has 16 and 19 touches for 102 and 73 yards over the past two weeks. He has five and four receptions in those games.

Bust (down-week production for that player’s standards)

  • Gardner Minshew: He’s been the QB15, QB15, and QB16 to start the season, but had just 213 and 204 passing yards the past two weeks with 6.5 and 6.8 yards per pass attempt. Denver has created no pressure or turnovers, but still has allowed the QB21 or lower in each week this season.
  • D.J. Chark: Chark has accounted for 36.1% of the Jacksonville receiving yards, which ranks as the fifth-highest yardage share for a wide receiver in the league. He’s the wide receiver to own long term, but will find himself across from Chris Harris on Sunday, who has held down Allen Robinson (4-41) and Davante Adams (4-56) the past two weeks.
  • Dede Westbrook: He has 11 catches for just 79 yards through three games while his 4.0 average depth of target is the lowest for any receiver with 20 or more targets on the season.
  • Joe Flacco: The QB24 through three weeks while Jacksonville is still no pass defense to target, bouncing back by limiting Deshaun Watson (QB22) and Marcus Mariota (QB21) after their season-opening letdown versus Patrick Mahomes.
  • Emmanuel Sanders/Courtland Sutton: Both Denver wideouts run into their worst individual matchups to open the season against Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, who have combined to allow just 10-of-21 targets to be completed in their coverage over the past two games for 128 combined yards and zero touchdowns.
