  • Over the first eight weeks of the season, the Raiders were 21st in dropback rate in neutral situations (59.2%). Over the final 10 weeks, they were 28th in dropback rate in neutral situations (56.1%).
  • Only Tyreek Hill (36.6%) was targeted at a higher rate per route than Davante Adams (30.2%) last season.
  • Per PFF, Jakobi Meyers was second among all receivers in touchdowns over expected, scoring 3.9 more times than his usage would suggest.

2023 Raiders Stats (NFL Rank):

  • Points: 332 (23rd)
  • Total Offense: 4,922 (27th)
  • Plays: 1,010 (30th)
  • Yards Per Play: 4.9 (26th)
  • Offensive TDs: 31 (25th)
  • Points Per Drive: 1.65 (25th)
  • Situation Neutral Pace: 28.6 (22nd)

2024 Raiders Coaching Staff:

  • Head Coach: Antonio Pierce
  • Offensive Coordinator: Luke Getsy

Antonio Pierce quickly implemented his philosophy on offense once he took over the head coaching job midway through last season.

Over the first eight weeks of the season, the Raiders were 21st in dropback rate in neutral situations (59.2%).

Over the final 10 weeks, they were 28th in dropback rate in neutral situations (56.1%).

Luke Getsy joined the Raiders after running the Bears offense the last two seasons.

There were some quarterback issues in Chicago last year that likely suppressed the passing numbers, but the Bears were 27th in neutral pass rate and 4.9% under their expected pass rate, 27th in the league.

Of course, the Raiders also have some quarterback concerns, and the marriage of Piecre and Getsy suggests we could be looking at a run-heavy squad when they can keep games in reach.

The final part of that could be an issue.

Las Vegas is tied for the fourth-worst win total at 6.5 and is scheduled to face the ninth-toughest schedule based on our strength of schedule methodology.

Still, when they can, this should be one of the more run-heavy offenses in the league.

They also should lean heavily into 2TE sets after drafting Brock Bowers in the first round to go along with 2023 second-rounder Michael Mayer.

Getsy used 12 personnel at the eighth-highest rate last season, and the team has reportedly been using it a lot during training camp.
